Copa Mundial

My heart is torn between rooting for Portugal and the USA. Of course they got drawn into the same group! Bummed out! Hoping they both make it out of the group, but it is the group of death so I cannot expect that. We'll see!

New job is going great, loving it! More to come on the beer front.

Ran 3 times this week, slowly getting on track. My wife has been keeping me motivated and getting me to work out. Loving it! Plan is to bike with a group next week and do some after work rides and hopefully figure out riding  to/from work.

Check In

Oh man!! What a whirlwind

Got a new job! Buyer at L.Knife & Sons. Love this new chapter. Beer and cycling, whats better?

About cycling. Great Giro this year. Plenty of drama, great win by Nairo, plenty of panache.

As for my own cycling, doing horribly. I was down and depressed at my old job. My Schedule was a wreck. I'm looking to ride weekends now with the normal crew and get stronger. Hopefully have a strong finish and target the Jamestown Classic.

Rode with my wife in Laconia. Found a nice 12 mile loop to do with her, made me remember why I love cycling.

Until next time!

2nd Semester Ending

Second semester is almost over!! Got one paper to write and then a final for stats and I am done. The bad news is I start Summer I the following week. That entails two classes a night on Tuesday and Thursday night! Dreading that with a passion.

Biking has been on and off, I went on the Muffin ride last Saturday. Hung on strong, hopefuly hit up a group ride tomorrow. Not doing too strong on it, been running more. I have felt great recently, just need to keep doing cardio and doing what I can.

Yard work will soon take up all of my time sadly. Time is of the essence!

Feelng Good

My wife and I have both been doing great in our workouts. Been making it work around school and my full time job. Weight room time is paying off huge, strength going up, cant wait to see how this translates onto the road when I am doing long saddle hours. My weight is still at 165, need to look at my intake of food. I eat mostly healthy goods, but snacks and junk food I beleive can be doing me in with wasted calories.

I have plenty of work with my MBA in the next few weeks, one class ends and another starts up. Hopefully have some good things coming up with mid terms and finals and possibly a new job search. We will see what happens!

Rejuvination

Feeling great. Gym and biking indoors, my body is accepting the new workout routine pretty well. Working on core strength now and building my cardio slowly. Do not want to over exert myself too early.

School is going ok for now. Mid term tomorrow night in Stats, been stressing about it, studying constantly and hoping to get into the 90s. Hoping all goes well.

Still no race plans except fr a 15k on Block Island in September, maybe the Norwell Road Race and the Jamestown classic. I want to be able to hang with A group guys by late Spring.

Have a great time training in this miserable cold of the Northeast/all over the USA.

Last week workout 1.3 hours cycling. 2 hours strength workouts.

Pats Lose

The Patriots lose. Brutal, nothing else to say.

On another note I finished my first semester of my MBA program with a 3.5! Feels great, aiming for a 3.7 this semester!

On a workout front it is hot and cold. So hard to stay on track there with so much else going on. Been to the gym last week and I hope to keep on going consistently.

My man cave is complete!! I will post some pictures soon once I upload some of them to my laptop.

I am also accepting applications for the 2014 cycling season for The Boston Road Club.
